First commuter train goes to Nashville

The Music City Star completed its inaugural run yesterday, pulling into a new downtown Nashville station on time at 6:40 a.m. The train began its route in Lebanon, 32 miles east of the city, making a half-dozen stops on its way downtown. Transportation officials hope commuters will be lured by the $5 one-way tickets. Officials will be watching to see how well the train catches on. It could become the first in a series of commuter trains feeding into Nashville from different directions. (The AP)
